Lemminkäinen continues the main highway renovation in Russiaow

Lemminkäinen has again won a renovation contract for the M4 road in Russia. The contract was ordered by Avtodor, a Russian state-owned enterprise managing the key main roads in Russia. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 7 million. Work has begun in June 2013 and will be completed in November 2013.

The renovation contract comprises milling and paving on a stretch of road measuring a total of 10 kilometres. The total asphalt volume of the contract is 50,000 tonnes. The stretch to be paved is located in the vicinity of the city of Voronezh, approximately 500 km south of Moscow.

As the M4 road is one of Russia's major highways, significant investments are being made in its infrastructure. For instance, M4 connects Moscow to Sochi, the host of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
