Fazer and Stockmann signed letter of intent about cafe and restaurant operations in St. Petersbug
Negotiations between Fazer Amica and Stockmann have lead to a letter of intent, aiming at opening cafe and restaurant operations (café-restaurant and personnel restaurant) in Stockmann’s new Nevsky Center department store by the end of 2010.
Fazer Amica’s target is to enter Russia’s café and restaurant market in co-operation with an experienced and long-term partner. The planned café would be the first one operating under the Fazer brand in Russia. Today, Fazer Amica has nine Fazer cafés and restaurants in Finland, Sweden and Latvia. The company operates 15 corporate restaurants under the Amica brand in Russia.
The agreement between the parties is expected to be ready for signing within a few weeks and Fazer Amica will publish additional information about the project then.
