Reliability and fast delivery - Ruukki's benefits for the Cargotec project in Poland
Cargotec's new production facilities in Poland will utilise Ruukki's steel structures. The delivery includes production and installation of steel frames for three separate buildings. The co-operation between Cargotec and Ruukki goes back many years. Ruukki has delivered many components and systems for material handling equipment for Cargotec.
The new production site, to be built in north-west Poland's Stargard Szczecinski, will serve Cargotec's customers in the cargo handling industry. Ruukki is to provide the steel frame for three buildings, two of which will house production facilities while the other is to serve as an office building.
Cargotec became convinced of Ruukki's quality and production capacity after visiting the Oborniki factory in Poland, where the steal frames are to be produced. "Our experiences of Ruukki's quality products and services, as well as the price-quality ratio, formed a key factor in our choice of Ruukki. Naturally, a production capacity ensuring ability to meet the timetable requirements of this project was important to us as well," states Cargotec Vice President Harri Ojala.
"Ruukki is devoted to serving international customers throughout Europe. As in this case, our strength lies in combining effective local production in Poland and customer service close to the user in Finland," says SVP Jouni Metsämäki, Ruukki Construction.
Ruukki's deliveries will start in late August, with the last ones scheduled for November 2009.
