Tallink`s passenger volumes increased by 25 percent in April

AS Tallink Grupp transported altogether 621 674 passengers in April, this is 25 percent more than last year. The number of transported vehicles increased by 50 percent, whereas the number of transported cargo units decreased by 33 percent.

The largest growth was seen on Latvia-Sweden, Finland-Sweden and Finland-Estonia routes. In April Tallink transported 39 452 passengers (+79 %) on Latvia-Sweden route, 238 407 (+25 %) on Finland-Sweden route and 278 396 (+28 %) on Finland-Estonia route.

On the route between Estonia and Sweden, Tallink transported 57 722 passengers (+3 %) and on the Finland-Germany route 7 697 passengers (-14 %).The results of the Germany-Finland route were influenced by the change, according to which starting from September two vessels continue on the route instead of three.

Additionally to passenger numbers, also the number of transported vehicles increased in the last month. Tallink transported 65 184 passenger vehicles (+50 %), the number of cargo units decreased by 33 percent to 19 489 in April.
