Alma Media to divest the Motors24 companies operating in the Baltic countries
Alma Media has agreed to sell its Motors24 car trading online portals to Mr Lauri Tõnspoeg, Motors24 Country Manager in Estonia, and Estonian investors Astrec OÜ and Racing Invest Group OÜ. Motors24 portals operate in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Alma Media's Marketplaces segment continues its business operations in the Baltic countries with City24 (home trading) and Mascus (heavy machinery) portals.
Alma Media is a profitably growing and internationally expanding company that invests in the future of newspapers and online media. It's best known products are the Aamulehti, Iltalehti, Kauppalehti and Etuovi.com.
Net sales in 2008 totalled EUR 341 million and the operating margin was over 14%. The company's share is listed in the Mid Cap segment of the NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Exchange, trading code ALN1V.
