The competition authority of the Russian Federation requests information from Kesko Food's subsidiary

On its internet pages, the competition authority of the Russian Federation has published information according to which Cassa Oy, a subsidiary of Kesko Food Ltd, has made a preliminary notification of the acquisition of a company called OOO Lenta, and there is a need for further information, and the handling time of the notification has been extended until 11 December 2008. Cassa Oy has made a preliminary acquisition notification in case an opportunity should arise for Kesko Food to conclude the said acquisition. The acquisition process referred to in the notification has not progressed.
