Oy Metsä-Botnia Ab’s Russian subsidiary Svir Timber has acquired the Russian timber harvesting companies ZAO Petrovles-Pasha and ZAO Petrovles-Podporozhie. The acquisitions will strengthen wood raw material supplies for Svir Timber’s sawmill and lend support to Botnia’s long-range strategy in Russia.
