Feasibility of establishing an innovation center in Moscow to be studied
Technopolis to undertake study commissioned by the Uusimaa Regional Council

The Uusimaa Regional Council and Technopolis Plc have decided to jointly study the feasibility of establishing innovation center activities in the Moscow region in Russia. The study is related to a collaboration agreement between the Uusimaa and Moscow regional councils, to be extended until the end of 2008. The purpose of the agreement is to promote innovation and technology collaboration and corporate interaction between the regions.

The Technopolis Consulting Unit will undertake the feasibility study commissioned by the Uusimaa Regional Council. The study will examine the level of interest, and wishes and requirements, of companies from Russia, Uusimaa and elsewhere regarding the establishment of an innovation center in Moscow. Moreover, the study will investigate which operating concept would best serve the center's aspiration to establish long-term collaboration between the regions and their companies and to support business enterprise.

The Technopolis Consulting Unit has several other ongoing projects in the Nordic countries, Russia, Central Europe and Southern Africa. The purpose of these projects is to identify the best practices and functions for successful technology center operations in each area.
