Fortum signs cooperation agreement with Russian Interros
Fortum and Interros, a leading Russian investment company, have signed a co-operation agreement concerning emerging opportunities in the Russian power sector.
Interros is actively participating in the restructuring of Russia's largest power holding RAO UES and is willing to expand in the Russian power sector. The agreement signed today includes e.g. future operation and maintenance services of the wholesale power companies acquired by Interros.
We are very pleased to have signed the cooperation agreement with Interros. This gives Fortum the opportunity to participate in the Russian power sector reform also by providing our expertise as well as operation and maintenance services, says Tapio Kuula, Senior Vice President of Fortum.
