International Currency Fond positively evaluate economic of Latvia
The International Currency Fond (ICF) has admitted the economic development of Latvia both in 2002, as well as in the last 10 years. Progress was achieved by the strict macroeconomical policy and consistent structural reforms. The executive directors of the ICF told that the greatest risk for Latvia is any changes in its strict fiscal policy.

The City Council of Ventspils supports project of fish terminal
On April 28, the deputies of Ventspils City Council conceptually supported the implementation of the Ventspils fish terminal project. The aim of the project is to provide fish, fish sorting, refrigeration, freezing, packing and ice manufacturing to both domestic and foreign fishing boats according to European Union standards. The realization of the project will require EUR 2 million investments.

Beer sales increase by 21%
In the first quarter in Latvia, 2.584.805 decilitres of beer was sold, which is 21% more than in the respective time period last year. The executive director of Latvian Brewery association Ivars Gr?slis explains the increase with marketing activities. Company Aldaris remains to be the leader in the sales volume in the beer industry.
