Turnover of companies grew 20%
Net turnover of companies grew by one fifth in 3Q this year compared to respective period in 2005. Net turnover of companies was EEK 142 billion. 41% of net turnover came from wholesale and retail trade companies, 20% from manufacturing trade, 13% from transport, warehousing and communication companies, 11% from construction companies and 6% from real estate, renting and trade business companies. Growth of turnover was the biggest in education, building, real estate, renting and trade business sectors.

Estonia remains quick grower
Economic growth that was due to rise in oil prices within past years will continue next year but in narrower extent. However, Estonia proves that growth is not necessarily based on oil. After the accession to the EU, for the second year in a row, both Estonia and Latvia are among the strongest growers. It has been predicted that growth in Estonia’s GDP will be 7.8% in 2007.

Estonians are more satisfied with their life than ever before
Behind Estonians’ growth of satisfaction lies general growth of well being that is due to quick economic growth. TNS Emor’s survey that was conducted in September and October shows that out of five people living in Estonia, four are satisfied with their life. Estonians’ satisfaction with economic situation has grown from 51% to 81% in two years.
